10/26/11 Various cuts of meat were reported stolen from a freezer in an unsecured garage Oct. 26. Among the missing meat: one chuck roast, two eye-of-round roasts, 10 pork chops and possibly a whole ham. (Parma Heights, OH)
11/08/11 A Colt semiautomatic handgun, a Remington 12-gauge shotgun, two Ruger revolvers, two loaded speed loaders for a revolver, two gun cleaning kits, two boxes of 12-gauge bird shot, one box of buckshot, one box of deer slugs and one box of Hamburger Helper mix belonging to Michael D. Lee were stolen and a door was damaged at a home in New Cambria between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday; $1,311 loss and damage. (Salina, KS)

3/13/11 A Martinez boy became enraged and started ransacking his home Tuesday when he saw his mother cooking Hamburger Helper for dinner.
After returning home from baseball practice, the 12-year-old saw his mother cooking Hamburger Helper instead of hamburgers and started screaming at her. He then took the pot off the stove and threw it at a door.
The boy started hitting his father when he tried to calm him. He then threw things around the house and broke windows with a wooden board.
When police arrived, the boy complained of injuries but was cleared by emergency personnel.
The boy was arrested for assault and criminal trespass and was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center. (Martinez, GA)
Once a couple tubes of ground beef have been down your pants for awhile, they can probably use all the help they can get.
Police Track Suspected Hamburger Helper Thief
According to a police report, the assistant manager told police she witnessed the man pay for the meat but not the box which was later determined to be Hamburger Helper. The woman said she followed the man outside and saw him pull two 1-lb. tubes of ground beef from his pants and go inside an apartment complex across the street.
The officer said he questioned a man matching the clerk’s description and discovered he was having dinner with his neighbors. The officer noted in his report that the neighbors were cooking Hamburger Helper.
